Growing up.

Gabriel is acting SO grown-up lately. It is hard to believe we almost have a 2 1/2 year old boy. The other day I made a haircut appointment for him and I told him and he responded by saying, "Good Mommy, my hair is getting long." Where do these ideas come from?
He is always wanting to fix things around the house with his tools and help with everything. "Why" is a common word throughout the day at our house. He is still working on potty training, when it is his idea only. Still no poopies in the potty yet but we know he will do it when he is ready. He continues to thrive at daycare 2-3 days per week.

Gabriel has successfully and uneventfully transitioned to his very own big boy room. He loves it so much and has been sleeping well. His train table are up there and a large toy box which really makes him happy. When we closed the door to his room last weekend after he was all tucked in, Mommy cried, not Gabe. Our little boy is growing up.



Since it has been so long since we updated, there are some additional pictures of Gabe being Gabe. He has taken to wearing underwear and going pee in the potty at daycare, but has a hard time remembering to do so at home. It will come I am sure.

Sprinkling.

"Merry Christmas Everyone!" is Gabe's new favorite thing to say. I am not sure if he picked this up at daycare, or from one of the countless Christmas shows we have let him watch, but he is saying it often. Pretty cute everytime. We are planning on leaving for an Aurelia Christmas on the 24th and a Rochester Christmas on the 26th. Gabe has enjoyed decorating Christmas cookies, but has really enjoyed eating them. We let him open one gift today from us, a Cars - semi truck and trailer. He loves big trucks and is thrilled with this gift (he picked it out himself one day).

He is also working on a little bit of potty training, hence the numerous naked pictures. He believes he must be naked at all times in order to have success. He didn't have any accidents on Friday morning wearing a pull-up, this is great progress. Granted, I had to bribe him to get him in the pull-up, but that is another story.
